When and what happened? Main people
The British Civil War started on August 22 1642 in the Kingdoms of England, Ireland and Scotland. The war was between the Royalists (King Charles l) and the parliament over the governance of England. Charles wanted to rule England without the permission of the parliament first and people were worried that Charles was going to take away their rights or liberties. Later, Charles wanted to make an army to fight against the Scots but he didn't have enough money which meant he was forced to go to the parliament. The parliament refused to give him money. On September 3 1651, the war ended.
